More NY Stories.

While I was in New York I didn't get to go sight seeing too much, which kind of sucked, but I did get to see the Museum of Modern Arts. That was really exciting. I got to see a lot of famous art works by Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh (Starry Night was especially quite moving in real life), Seurat, Monet, and many, many more. I really wish I had my camera (and that it wasn't broken), cause they let you take pictures there.
One of the places we ate at was a Brazilian all you can eat B-B-Q place (and don't let the name fool you, it was high quality). It was soooo awesome, if you ever see one I recommend you go! But go for lunch, dinner is really expensive.
At night time, we usually went from bar to bar looking for live bands. One of the "bands" we saw was a one man band pretty much. It was this Irish guy with an electric acoustic guitar, a few effect pedals, and a loop pedal. Basically he'll play a part and the loop pedal records it and loops it so he can play a different part on the guitar at the same time. He would also record himself banging on the guitar to simulate drums (he'd hit it in different parts to get different sounds). And if he needed backing vocals, he'd sing into the guitar and it would record that and he'd sing to that. It was a really awesome show! Plus I really liked a lot of his songs.
We also saw another band called The Sick F*cks. They were totally not what we expected, I mean with a name like that, you'd think it was some hardcore metal band or something. You wouldn't expect a punk band that consisted of a bunch of 50 year old guys (and two female singers). One of the guys had a really short shorts on, stockings, and lipstick. I know it sounds creepy, but if you saw it you would have laughed! It was an unexpectedly good show. You should look them up sometime!
Well, if I think of other stories I forgot to mention that are worth mentioning I'll blog them later, for now, this is it! Hope you enjoyed the stories......

Are you sure that wasn't the Mclaughlin Group?
