Down in a hole

Today i got to go down 30 ft. in a man made hole. It was warm. I wanted to stay, but they wanted to put concrete in it as soon as it was drilled. Then I had to come out of the hole and it was cold as outside can be and I had to test concrete. Concrete testing is not fun. Everybody should come test concrete with me and then we can collect all the cylinders and make a giant concrete cylinder house. Now that would be awsome. A house made of 6" X 12" cylinders. Now that would be freak'n sweet. But the coolest thing was that I was at a chemical plant that exploded really really big less than a half hour after I was done testing comcrete there

I like concrete.

Wait till you get concrete poisoning. And yes it really does exist, and yes you can lose a limb. Oh yeah and it can dry your skin like the sun dries something I can't think of. The hidden dangers of something so simple and used everywhere. Even the EPA keeps an eye on the concrete companies to make sure they aren't polluting.

concrete testing does sound cool...except, you can get concrete disease and you almost exploded in a building...do you get good health/life insurance?

That does sound like a good plan, to get out of the hole before the concrete is poured in.

As for concrete poisoning, just use more sugar. Sugar and concrete are the best of friends. Oh, and dirt too. Lots of that.

How does one go about testing concrete? I have no idea. I assume it is more thorough and structured than testing software is. Of course, that is to be expected: Object-oriented programmers tend to work in the abstract, not in the concrete.

Chemical plant explosion? Was that the smoke hanging over downtown Kansas City a week or so ago?

Most impressive shayne. Knowing about sugar and concrete. Most impresive. And for those who don't know sugar and concrete do not mix well, i.e. sugar keeps the concrete from setting up
