I had to visit the url provided in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b5VP3XnjC0) in order to find out that this water was coming out of a dam in Manhattan, KS.

Descriptions can be your friend, man! After all, you know what they say:
A thousand-and-one words is worth more than a picture.

I'm not sure how many words a video is worth, though. You would think probably more than 1000.

But you'd be wrong. It's only 50 words per second. It's fairly complicated math to arrive at that answer, so I won't bore anyone here with it.

It's all a ballpark estimate though.

Another enemy of a blog post is TOO LONG of an entry. A good example of that is everything I do.

Anyway: Is that a normal amount of water that is coming out of the dam, or was that an unusually high amount for the structure? What is the name of the dam?

I think it is tuttle creek. The water is high because of all the rain. I don't think it is like this much.
