ATI = bad : in the past. But now they are coming around, that is they are starting to support linux.

Man alive, I had no idea that workstation graphics cards were so expensive.

You can use ATI and run linux, but you could never get 3D graphics to work.

FireGL Drivers for Linux. That is the drivers for FireGL components directly from ATi themselves. And if you root(no pun intended) around in it, you'll find that Linux support is fairly decent.

You can also see that it supports Hardware Accelerated 3d graphics
