Here's a tip: Don't trust generalized statements.

A scientist went into his lab one day and noticed his test monkey reading a couple of books. In one hand, the monkey was holding the bible. In the other, the monkey was holding Darwin's book on evolution. The monkey was switching between the two with a confused look on it's face.
"What's the matter?" Asked the scientist.
The monkey replied, "I'm not sure: am I my brother's keeper or my keeper's brother?"

That's another joke courtesy of my uncle Sam. It's good stuff.

I'm currently on Day Four of re-installing the OS and software on my parents computer. Currently, it is a Lean, Mean, as-fast-as-this-thing-will-get machine, and on Windows 98 First Edition if you can believe it. All security updates are installed, I've installed several multimedia enhancements, but I still need to install the software that they want (Like, photo software, greeting card software, blah blah blah). It wouldn't have taken this long, but I have been busy downloading stuff on our dial-up: I estimate I've downloaded 150 Megs of software just to get this thing as up to date as possible, which includes installing IE6 and DirectX 9, and by themselves they are time-killers, [ rest of rant edited due to unhealty levels of Boring ] and I still have more to do.

I sort of made a bad mistake today: I farmed the wrong field. Whoops. At least there wasn't anything planted there, and luckily it was our field. The only thing that happened was I ruined several hundred dollars worth of chemical treatments to the field, but still... you just feel dumb when you do that. At least it wasn't anything bad like driving a farming implement into the doors of a quanset. No, wait. That was me too. Several years ago. But at least I didn't... Oh right, that one's mine too. Now I feel worse. I'll think of some jokes... Heheh, that one's good... hee hee... I like that one too... Ok, I'm all better now. Until next time everybody, and remember: I can't ever write a short post.
